Tahi Lodge is a modern facility that has been furnished to meet the needs of both local and international guests of all ages. The property is set on a ridge at the end of Snells Beach on the Matakana Coast with extensive sea and rural views. It is boutique in nature with only two apartments with a maximum of six guests affording privacy and space to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Warren & Lauren Kitchin host Tahi Lodge and have owned the business since 2010. They come from the travel and tourism industry and have traveled extensively in New Zealand and Internationally including living in the UK and USA. They aim to provide a quality, low touch guest experience with helpful information on local features, activities and special places suited to guest interests and the time they have available to enjoy the Matakana Coast.
The Matakana Coast provides a wonderful range of Wine Country and coastal experiences. From beautiful beaches, coastal and rural reserves, islands, to boutique vineyards, farmers markets with a great range of quality organic local produce, micro breweries, restaurants, specialist local retailers, oyster farms, rural experiences Sheepworld and Horse rides, golf clubs - all within a 30 minute reach of Tahi Lodge. You can be as busy as you like to be or just relax in a quiet, uncrowded environment just 45 minutes from Auckland on the way to/from Northland and the Bay of Islands.
