Situated in the heart of Kuratau on the South West shore of Lake Taupo, our Tongariro Adventures Lodge provides our guests with comfort and space. Our Lodge is designed for you to relax and unwind after your Tongariro Adventure, whatever the season!!
Our Tongariro Adventures Lodge is a sheltered sun trap, surrounded by bush and bird song, yet only 100 metres from the beautiful Kuratau beach of Lake Taupo. The Lodge has two double bedrooms + a third single bedroom, able to accommodate up to 5guests.
Our Tongariro Adventures Lodge has a well designed open plan kitchen/dining/living space that opens onto a large covered deck, complete with overhead heating for extended summer entertaining. In winter the inside area is kept cozy and warm with an efficient log burner.

Tongariro Adventures is situated by the lake in the original Kuratau settlement on the peaceful, south western shores of Lake Taupo amid established trees and the sound of birdsong.
Mid point between Wellington and Auckland, a pretty special part of the island to break your journey..... and so close to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.
As well as conquering The Crossing, guests often choose to White Water Raft or Fish the mighty Tongariro River; play Golf; Swim; Kayak; Ski at Mount Ruapehu - Whakapapa (40 minutes by car) or Turoa; enjoy the many Bush Walks & Cycle Trails (which cater for all levels fitness and skills)... and much more!

Tokaanu Thermal Pools, a 10 minute drive, offer hot mineral springs long recognised by Ngati Tuwharetoa as having the "wai ora" (healing waters). Particularly enjoyed by our guests on their way home from The Crossing or Rafting!
