Built in the decade of people landing on the moon, this 1960s holiday house has been enhanced with 21st-century conveniences to create a tranquil base from which to launch your holiday adventures. This 2-bedroom holiday home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac and is ideal for families or small groups wanting to spend time together. The house enjoys an elevated, sunny position with views west to Kāpiti Island and east to the Waikanae hills. Wake to varied bird-life and unwind watching the sunset. There is a flat lawn for cricket and a large garden for wandering or playing hide and seek. The kitchen, dining, living, and sleeping areas are on one level staying warm in winter with heat pumps. Bedroom 1 offers views of Kāpiti Island and a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has two king single beds (can be converted to a double bed) and external access onto a garden terrace. There are two pop-up single beds that can be used in bedroom 2 or the sunroom. On the lower level is a rumpus room with a pool and table tennis table, a small bathroom, and external access to the garden. Waimeha wildlife refuge and lagoon is just a 5-minute walk away, as is an excellent playground. Waikanae Beach and cafés are a 12-minute walk from the property. The legendary Olde Beach Bakery is just down the hill! Also, within easy reach is the riverside cycle trail. For those wanting to stay connected, there is unlimited Ultra-Fast broadband. Tranquility Base is a private and peaceful location perfect for resting or making your own celestial discoveries along the beautiful Kapiti Coast. The wood burner pictured at this property is not operational for guest note that the games room and lower-level bathroom are accessible only via note that on occasion a boat may beparked at the top of the driveway in front of the garage.
