Your apartment is fully self-contained and offers peace, privacy and comfort. The vista includes a garden of roses and trimmed buxus hedges, stunning views of the marina and further into Queen Charlotte Sound and the beautiful bush clad hills surrounding Waikawa Bay. You have access also to a large lounge with books, games and a movie screen, exercise facilities and a guest computer; a billiard room, laundry facilities and a barbecue. You may like to test your short golf game on the chip and putt hole on the lawn that leads down to the stream.

A three minute walk from Wilkes Way Villa takes you to the lively Waikawa Marina, home to 600 boats, a café/bar and to stingray that cruise the warm waters. Walk for thirty minutes along a track and you will reach another marina and the shops, cafes, library etc. of Picton township. Waikawa Bay is the Gateway to Queen Charlotte Sounds and several charter boat businesses operate taking tourists to a bird sanctuary, diving spots or on scenic cruises. This area provides access to some of the most beautiful walking tracks in New Zealand. There are many well-known wineries between Picton and Blenheim, and these offer wine-tasting and café dining. You can join an organised tour, or drive for 30 minutes, or even take a bike ride through the vineyards.
