The houses are cozy and equipped with all the necessary items to make your stay totally enjoyable. The plunge swimming pool is a nice extra ammenity that allows you to relax in the water if the day is too hot or humid, though in the dry season it is best to enjoy the waterfalls and ponds of the María river. Plenty of space to park, both in private spaces or on the street.

Your main host, Ivy, lives right next to the houses, so extra-mile assistance is available, but always respecting the guests' independence and privacy. Though Ivy is Panamanian by birth, she is a seasoned traveler and expat who can understand the challenges of both local and international guests when staying in a rented property. Some of her favorite activities are travelling, reading/writing, photography, hiking, walking, music and movies. She is multilingual (Spanish, English, French and German).

These houses are located in the beautiful tropical rainforest mountain area of Altos del María, which is only about one and a half hour from Panama City, and very close to the Pacific beach ring area, starting with Gorgona and Coronado. Within the complex you have some beautiful hiking areas where you can not only take walks, but also have a picnic. Though Panama has a long rainy season, you can always enjoy the beauty surrounding these houses, with the Picacho peak view and lush rainforest green shades. It is an ideal getaway corner to detox from the noisy and stressful capital of Panama.
