Mara and Martin are two easygoing travelers, filmmakers, and surfers, we are often in Baia Nest with our dogs and cats. Buenavista, a small beach barrio in Gubat, Sorsogon, is a popular surfing destination with a 2-kilometer grey sand beach facing the Pacific Ocean. Just two minutes from the beach, our house is across from Bicol University and overlooks serene rice fields, offering a rare sunset view. Gubat is a quiet town with friendly locals, a few restaurants, and some bars. Booked guests receive a guidebook for local attractions, and we can recommend an excellent guide and whale shark expert for unforgettable tours around Albay and Sorsogon.
