After years of hospitality experience in Japan, I carefully and meticulously thought out every minuscule detail of this condo unit. During my time working at a luxury resort in Niseko, Hokkaido, I was surrounded by the beauty of nature. One thing that left a lasting impression on me was the presence of Hinoki trees. Their quiet strength and timeless beauty inspired a sense of peace that I hoped to carry with me and share through Cypress Elysium. I want each stay to offer a gentle retreat from the demands and monotony of one’s daily takes. At the same time, while working in corporate, my creative team and I were developing a dreamy, narrative-driven game. During that process, the word Elysium surfaced. It almost became the name of our game, and over time, it started to feel like a quiet charm. Ever since, it has carried a quiet sense of serendipity, as though things were falling gently into place. At Cypress Elysium, my hope is that each guest finds a moment of peace and clarity. And in this quiet, may they find the space to reflect, rejuvenate, and leave feeling refreshed — ready to take on life’s challenges.
