Welcome to Alojamentos Plansel, where every stay is rooted in decades of history, passion, and wine 🍷
It all began with a vision — that of a German family who fell deeply in love with the Alentejo. In the 1980s, the Lindemann family founded Plansel and became pioneers in Portugal in the cultivation and genetic selection of native Portuguese grapevines. Their scientific approach helped transform the future of Portuguese viticulture.
Our name — Plansel, short for “Plantas Seleccionadas” (Selected Plants) — reflects our commitment to quality, tradition, and innovation.
Over the years, this land of vineyards has grown with us. Today, we continue to produce wine and welcome those who, like us, appreciate the calm of the countryside, the warmth of the Alentejo sun, and the joy of sharing a good glass of wine.
We created Alojamentos Plansel so you can experience the true Alentejo: peaceful, authentic, and full of flavour. What brings us the most joy is seeing our guests take a refreshing dip in the pool overlooking the vines, relax in the golden light of the afternoon with a glass from our cellar, or simply breathe in and say: this place feels right.
As a family, we share a deep passion for native grape varieties, nature, local gastronomy, and long conversations at sunset 🌿
We look forward to welcoming you with the same care and dedication we give our vineyards — with time, attention, and soul.
