Vilamoura is just a short journey from Faro airport and is in the center of the Algarve. It has an award winning Marina with excellent bars and restaurants. Definitely something for everyone. Beaches that stretch on for miles with the soft sand and the inviting sea. With lots of water sports and adventure to be had depending on if you want a pedalo or a fully staffed yacht. Everything is available. A great night life and always something new to experience, Vilamoura has it all. Beyond the marina, Vilamoura boasts a wealth of attractions and activities to suit every taste. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at one of the region's prestigious golf courses, designed by legendary architects and set against a backdrop of rolling green hills and azure skies. If you want to go further afield then go east and explore the real Portugal and its many hidden towns and villages. 20 minutes away from the historic town of ESTOI where there are roman ruins and a Royal Palace that is open to the public and boasts amazing views and spectacular gardens. To the west you have towns like Lagos and Portimao, again with great beaches and amazing food. Carry on the Cape St Vincent where it was believe this was the ends of the earth, this is the most westerly point in Europe Lisbon is just 2 hours drive if you want to experience world class shopping and sightseeing. Or just jump across the border to Spain and Seville, again only 2 hours away.
