In 2008, Andre and Brigitte discovered the ruin that stole their hearts. Some 5 years of loving restoration later, they gave up their old lives in France and opened Canto De Luz, our luxury Maison. In 2019 they retired, and I have taken La Maison into my hands to build on the amazing reputation they have built with over 350 5* star reviews and Traveller's choice 2019 property. Hiding behind the traditional facade of an elegant merchant townhouse in the centre of the Old Town is a beautiful soaring modern atrium that welcomes you, our friends and guests, to your home from home here in Porto. I love to bake, so our breakfast, which changes daily, is homemade and wherever possible organic, using freshly sourced local ingredients from Porto's markets. Our passion for Porto has been matched by the discovery that we love meeting people from all over the world, and many of our guests have become friends who come and stay again and again. Hiding behind the traditional facade of an elegant merchant townhouse in the centre of the Old Town is a beautiful soaring modern atrium that welcomes you, our friends and guests, to your home from home here in Porto. La Maison Canto de Luz has been designed for the ground up for comfortable modern living, whilst appreciating the high ceilings and indoor/outdoor living of traditional Porto. La Cuisine is the centre of the morning's activities, where all guests can enjoy a daily changing, freshly homemade breakfast, looking out over the terrace to the leafy trees and comfortable tranquillity of our little oasis.

It’s the kind of city where people come for a weekend and stay a lifetime. Edgy yet opulent, the city has art on every corner, from galleries and museums to street art to edgy modern art and graffiti installations, each telling the story of a different time and slice of Porto living. Canto De Luz is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town, set back from the main streets to enable the peace and tranquillity that we have become famous for, and yet accessible to the key locations and sights within just a couple of minutes walk.
