I hope you have a wonderful stay and take the opportunity to discover everything this beautiful city has to offer.
Although I was born in Lisbon, I’m the daughter and granddaughter of people from Castelo Branco — and it was here that I spent many of my childhood holidays.
Because of that, I have a very special connection to this city, full of history, culture, and traditions.
It’s a true pleasure for me to welcome travellers and to share a bit of this place that means so much to me.

Welcome to Castelo Branco!
Casa das Olarias is a 17th-century building located in the historic center of Castelo Branco. It was renovated in 2025 and decorated to provide well-being and comfort to everyone who chooses to stay here.
It’s a small three-story building with electronic access at the entrance and for each of the four rooms. There are three shared bathrooms throughout the house.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen where guests can prepare meals, a bathroom, and a shared dining area with air conditioning.
Each floor has two bedrooms, each with a double bed, a wardrobe, and air conditioning. There is a shared bathroom at the end of the hallway with a hot-water shower.
All rooms have been designed to offer comfort, peace, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
While the rooms do not have private bathrooms, guests have access to shared bathrooms that are always clean and fully functional, just a few steps away from the rooms.
Cleanliness is a priority – the bathrooms are regularly sanitized to ensure everyone’s comfort and well-being.
As the number of guests is limited, the shared areas remain calm and never overcrowded.
The house is simply but tastefully decorated and includes all the essentials for both short and long stays.
It’s perfect for a solo traveler interested in local culture and history, or for small groups of up to 8 people traveling together.
The property is centrally located in Castelo Branco, allowing easy access on foot or by bike to all the main tourist attractions in the city.
At Largo de São João, just 50 meters away, you’ll find electric bikes for rent (BINAS) and a secure paid car park where you can safely leave your vehicle.
We have a little challenge for our guests:
When you arrive at Casa das Olarias, see if you can spot the year the house was built, carved into the façade…
