Casa Porta Nova consists of 3 floors. The first floor consists of a large and cozy living room that coexists with a fully equipped kitchen in an "openspace" system, where you can relax, watch a movie or have dinner with your family. On the same floor you will find a spacious terrace where you can enjoy the sun throughout the day, or have an aperitif before dinner. The second floor consists of two bedrooms with a double bed, a bathroom with shower and a balcony overlooking Penha. On the last floor there is a suite with a double bed. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Casa Porta Nova shares the old wall with the city of Guimarães and is located on Rua Egas Moniz, one of the oldest and most traditional sites in the historical centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Of medieval origin, Egas Moniz Street was rebuilt in the 17th century and partially altered in the 19th century. A few steps away from the Alberto Sampaio Museum and the main squares of the city: the Oliveira Square, Santiago Square, Largo do Toural and 5 minutes away from the most outstanding cultural and historical points of the city such as the Castle, the Dukes' Palace, the Cultural Centre of Vila Flor, the Arts Platform and the Memory House. All of them recent focal points of Guimarães' commemoration as European Capital of Culture 2012.
