This is a centre apartment having undergone a loving and attentive renovation. There is a spacious open plan living area with kitchen and utility that comprises brand new air conditioning, brand new kitchen and a large sofa bed that easily converts to a comfortable sofa bed. The balcony is off this area with outdoor seating and table. complete with outdoor electric or outdoor cooking. There is a washing machine, fridge freezer, hamper and cool bag for you to use with ice blocks. We supply beach towels and beach umbrella with snorkelling equipment for 2. The separate bedroom also has air conditioning with a double bed and wardrobe and a floor fan is available. We have white fluffy dressing gowns plus a hairdryer and straightners. The large bathroom has a double sink and large shower with towels for your use. Fibre optic Wifi is throughout the apartment. It is accessed from the street, up 2 flights of stairs and you have a private entrance to enjoy. It may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties. No smoking in the property although smokers may use the sunny balcony.

We first visited and discovered the hidden historical gem of Tavira in September 2017 and fell in love with its charm and beauty instantly. We moved to live here in May 2018 and will meet you on arrival and be available for advice and support throughout your stay if required.

Tavira is a coastal city in the eastern Algarve fondly known as the Venice of the Algarve set on the meandering River Gilao. The 18th century moorish architecture surrounds cobbled streets connected by a roman bridge and other bridges along the river. There's a hill top castle ruins with attractive walled gardens and 37 churches which admirably contribute to its seductive charm. The central gardens is a great place to have a local ice cream and watch the turtles in the centre of the gardens and is surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants, Portugal is the third safest country in the world and Tavira is one of the safest cities in Portugal. Being here feels like taking a pleasant and relaxing step back in time. All within walking distance! Take a five minute walk over the bridge from our apartment to board the cheap, short and regular ferry ride to the Island of Tavira. Tavira falls within the Parque Natural da Rio Formosa and on the way to the beach you can see some wonderful birds living on the nature reserve, during April to October you can admire the pink flamingos.
