The Douro View is a comfortable and spacious apartment with fabulous views over the Douro River and Oporto. It is located in the heart of the city of Vila Nova de Gaia at a 2 min. walking dist. from local stores, banks and transportation (metro, bus, train). If you are in the mood of walking, you are at a 15 min. walking dist. from the wine cellars and the center of Oporto. The apartment has plenty of natural light from the wide windows that provide views over the Douro River, Arrabida bridge, D. Luis I bridge and Oporto's historical riverside. It is very near to Gaia’s riverfront area, which is filled with tourist-friendly restaurants where guests may enjoy a hearty meal, topped off with a glass of Port Wine while enjoying the scenery. This area of Gaia is full of character, historical streets lined with small local shops, restaurants and cafes. Oporto’s nearby historical centre features various relevant landmarks and sights, such as the Clérigos Tower, the São Bento Train Station and the Cathedral. The centenary Lello Bookstore is within a 5 min. drive as are the lively Galerias de Paris. By night restaurants and Bars pop up all over this area, famed for its nightlife.
