The property offers free use of kayaks and dingies to all its guests. The unique guest units offer a dining area, a kitchenette and a stunning view of Douro’s landscape. A seating area with a sofa bed is included in all accommodation. Free WiFi is available and guests enjoy free onsite private parking. Guests of the Douro Riverside Lodges can relax at the seasonal outdoor pool or enjoy water sports on the river, including sailing and canoeing. Supervised yacht cruises are also available to guests. The surrounding area has several trails that are ideal for hiking and Mountain Bike. Douro Riverside Lodges is 1 km from Ferradosa railway station, which has direct trains to Porto.

Neighbourhood information

Wilderness, away from it all… You can spent a good deal of time just chilling out and enjoying the peace and quiet. The railway line is on the other side of the river and a few trains a day – plus the occasional river tour boats – pass by. These don’t disturb the peace of the area, rather, they enhance it by underlining just how quiet it is! There are three units – a small house and two chalets. There is one good restaurant close to the marina. Some great restaurants are reachable by boat. Don’t expect entertainment and nightlife but do expect to relax and enjoy the remoteness and the peace.
