The accommodation "Moinho das Marés" is located in the Natural Park Ria Formosa within the Tide Mill "Moinho José Guerreiro", which opened in June 2016. We provide 5 rooms, built in traditional Algarve style with all modern conveniences as a private bathroom with shower, air con, fridge, floor heating, free WiFi and LED TV via satellite. A large sun terrace for relaxing is available. The Tapas Bar "Mó de cima", which is located within the tide mill offers regional specialties and chilling cocktails. A free car park within the property is available.
Die Unterkunft "Moinho das Marés" liegt am Rande des Naturschutzparks Ria Formosa innerhalb der im Juni 2016 eröffneten Gezeitenmühle "Moinho José Gurreiro". Es stehen 5 Zimmer im traditionellen Algarve-Stil zur Verfügung, die keine modernen Annehmlichkeiten, wie ein eigenes Badzimmer mit Dusche, Klimaanlage, Kühlschrank, Fußbodenheizung, freies WLAN und LED-TV, vermissen lassen. Within the property you can find Saline fields, where sea salt is produced. In the salt fields you have the chance to observe many types of sea birds and flamingos, which have found a natural habitat. A small freshwater stream is flowing through the salt fields ending right before the property into a small lake where you can discover different fish. For there the water passes through a shaft beneath the tide mill, from where a millstone is driven. The millstone may be observed in the Tapas Bar "Mó de cima".
In der unmittelbaren Umgebung der Unterkunft befinden sich die zum Betrieb gehörenden Salinenfelder, auf welchen Meersalz gewonnen wird. In den Salzfeldern tummeln sich viele Arten von Seevögeln und Flamingos, welche dort einen natürlichen Lebensraum gefunden haben. Durch die Salzfelder fließt ein Süßwasserbach, welcher unmittelbar vor den Unterkunft in einen kleinen See mündet, wo sich verschiedene Fische beobachten lassen. Von dort gelangt das Wasser durch einen Schacht unterhalb der Gezeitenmühle geleitet, von wo aus ein Mühlstein angetrieben wird, der in der Tapas Bar "Mó de cima" besichtigt werden kann.
