We are the Guerreiro da Silva family; Roberto, Martha and our children Rodrigo (2010) and Ricardo (2012). Roberto is Portuguese and Martha is Dutch. We run the Turismo Rural together.
We have also some chickens and cats!
We both find it very nice to receive guests, make breakfast and have a great time.
We hope that our guests will be just as enthusiastic about our surroundings as we are!
Roberto can often be found in the vegetable garden in his spare time and he loves cooking as well. His great passion is the organic vegetable garden and orchard. With 1.3 ha. of land and trees and the Turismo Rural we never have to be bored, there is always some work to do. Martha also likes to work outside in the gardens and to make jam from the fruits of our trees. We like to go hiking or going to the beach with our children.

Our accommodation is located very central in the Algarve, the town of Silves is within walking distance (20min.)
We have a typical Portuguese Quinta wich dates back from 1900, we build in 2018/2019 the guest house with 5 rooms. Our total plot is 1.3 ha with various Olive- Almond and carob trees. We deliberately keep the area natural for preservation of flora and fauna.
The rooms of the guesthouse are bright and we have done our best to make them as comfortable as possible for the perfect holiday feeling. We hope our guests feel at home. The best thing about the rooms, in our opinion, is the view! The sunsets are priceless! And we have a small swimming pool for cooling down in the summer. We hope that our guests will enjoy outdoor living as we do! We are happy to share all our property with our guests! And we hope that we are a fine base for a beautiful holiday in the Algarve.

We have put together a book with all the places of interest in Silves and its surroundings. It is available in every room. We have also included activities in the book.
Not to be missed are of course the fantastic beaches! The many cliff beaches are really worth a visit. The castle of Silves and the city itself is definitely worth a visit. Special cities like Lagos, and the end of Europe near Sagres. Dinofootsteps. Menhirs and excavations from past times.
The archaeological museum of Silves!
Also in our vicinity are amusement parks, 2 aqua parks, Slide & Splash and Aqualand. Also park Zoomarine is a must, especially with children. Or go into the mountains to Monchique and the Serra de Silves. In terms of food and drink Silves is also good, there are many restaurants to choose from, eating out here is still very affordable. There is plenty of choice, both typical Portuguese or something else. Silves also has a fresh market every day in the Mercado Municipal. With many local products.
