Quinta Vale da Paz is just a 7-minute drive from Azambuja, in a small village 45 km north of Lisbon's international airport. The Azambuja region is one of Europe's largest tomato producers and is known for its passion for horses, bullfighting and wine, food and music festivals. Come and taste the famous local dish "torricado", enjoy some good wine, go horse riding, take a boat trip on the River Tagus or visit the Parque Rural do Tambor, which are all nearby. You can also take a day trip to a medieval castle (Óbidos), dive off white sandy beaches (Foz do Arelho or S. Martinho do Porto), visit the largest palace in Portugal (Palácio de Mafra), descend 80m into deep caves (Mira de Aire), all within a 45 to 55 minute drive.
