Company information

Teoria is a company that started its activity in2010. The property is situated in Celeirós do Douro, a vineyard village in the heart of the Douro Valley classi_ed by UNESCO as "World Heritage Site". Teoria, which has won many prizes nationally and internationally, is a wine of high quality due to the excellent grapes and characteristics of the "terroir". The company is led by two winemakers, António Dinis e Rosa Araújo, with extensive experience in the wine sector. Our wine portfolio includes not only red, white and sparkling wine but also late harvest and olive oil. Recently we added to our farm an enotourism space where you can taste our wines, visit our vineyards and enjoy a stay in our Guest House.

Situated in Celeirós do Douro, a vineyard village, Teoria Guest House is a rural tourism house that offers its guest not only a family and quiet environment but also a privileged contact with nature, in the heart of the Douro Valley. The house, initially built in 1968, was remodeled and expanded in 2018, keeping all its initial charm, but with modern surroundings, offering, in addition to great comfort, a view over the wine-growing terraces (socalcos), where the grapes slowly grow to be transformed into our Teoria wines of the highest quality, produced with all our love and dedication. It has four air-conditioned rooms and two bathrooms and a shared kitchen and living room. The proximity to Pinhão (10 km) and to Vila Real (22 km) permits the guests to live a unique experience of proximity and tranquility with nature.

Before getting to the property, the host has 300 meters of a narrow dirt track to go through. For stays over 4 days, we offer a free wine tasting of our wines, Teoria.
