Hey! I'm Vanessa and I'm originally from Alberta, Canada. My dad was born here in Sao Miguel, in a small village called Agua de Pau. I visited the island for the first time in 2023 and fell in love! I decided to return for good in 2024, and started this Guesthouse Project. My co-host is my dog, Charlie. She is a 4 year old Serra Da Estrela mix breed. She lived at the shelter here in Ponta for almost all of her life. She is a calm, gentle and incredibly sweet dog who keeps to herself for the most part, but will welcome a pet from those who are so inclined. Charlie and I love exploring the island, and you can often find us going for hikes or walking. We are on a mission to see every single inch of the island!! I am also a Dive Master, and can tell you all about the diving here in the Azores. I love traveling and have been to around 40 countries, most of them solo! I know how expensive and important accommodation is when traveling, and it is my goal to ensure you have the best possible experience at my house!

Our house is a spacious 225m2 property with only 3 guest rooms. We have a fully equipped kitchen that you are welcome to use. Our living room has a large TV, hooked up to Netflix and the local television channels for those rainy days. We offer some books in English you are welcome to borrow! We have a spacious dining room where we serve continental breakfast daily, included in the nightly rate. We aim to create a social environment among the guests, and hope you will be able to meet some new friends while you're here in our shared house.

Located on a residential street, you'll feel like a local at our welcoming guesthouse. We are just a 5 minute drive from the airport, and a 10 minute walk from downtown Ponta Delgada. Full disclosure, our proximity to the airport does make it so you can hear planes taking off and landing. With the windows closed, the sound isn't too bothersome, and I do find it pretty neat to watch them fly overhead!!
