The hotel is available for both short and long term stays. You can enjoy a privileged location between the sea and the mountains where you can find all the comforts and privacy for your stay. Our Hotel has everything you need to make your holiday in S. Miguel a relaxing and memorable one Whales Bay Hotel has 8 T1 (one bedroom) and 7 T2 (2bedroom) apartments for your stay. There are facilities which includes a Sauna, Turkish Bath, Jacuzzi, exercise and games rooms. There is also an outdoor pool surrounded by gardens. There is free parking. Free WIFI. Whales Bay Hotel Apartments is situated approximately 100 meters from the sea in São Vicente Ferreira, 12 km from the airport, and a 15 minutes drive from the city. Whales Bay Apartmentos are located near Capelas. A town known for its whaling industry, which began in the early 19th century. What remains today is a heritage chimneystack of a Sperm whale factory. Its ruins are a reminder of the fisherman who lost their lives whaling. When staying at Whales Bay you are a drive away from the town of Furnas, where you can visit volcanic hot springs, and have your lunch cooked in the ground using steam and boiling mud, a technique known as “cozido”. You can also visit the pinnapple greenhouses in Fajã de Baixo. The view trails (Vista do Rei) in Lagoa das Sete Cidades, Lagoa das Empadadas, Lagoa do Congro, Lagoa do Fogo. The City of Ribeira Grande( where you can visit the passion fruit (maracujá) liqueur factory. The ceramic factory in the town of Lagoa. Tea factories in the town of Gorreana and Porto Formoso.
