Casa Firuta is your fairy-tale place in Borsa, Maramures! Surrounded by Rodnei and Maramures mountains, with Toraioaga and Pietrosu peaks visible from our garden the view is spectacular. We add rich traditions – Maramures is well known as the most traditional area in Romania – great food – we have our own farm so the food served is 80% bio – and other spectacular landscapes as Horses Waterfall or the wooden churches in the area and you have the receipt of a perfect holiday that will make you fall in love with our place.

We are simple, friendly people that will do our best to ensure that your staying with us will be unforgettable! We love Casa Firuta and we worked really hard to build a house that is a story teller of our ancestors. When you stay in our rooms you go back in time as all rooms build what we call a traditional Maramures house. You will see our grandmother hand work all over: hand-woven blankets, embroidered linen, floor carpets. We are sure that you will love every minute of your staying with us.

Maramures is a truly blessed place: everywhere you look you will find a thing that will totally amaze you. Borsa Maramures is one of the most rich areas in Maramures. Here you will find Rodney Mountains with Pietrosu Peak - 2303m, the highest peak in Northern Romania. Also here is Iezer Lake – an unique glacial lake that has the shape of Romania. Another natural wonder is Horses Waterfall- the longest waterfall in Romania – 90 m. Borsa has more than 30 religious places – wooden churches, monasteries. Only 30 minutes away from us by car is Mocanita – Europe’s last industrial forest railway.
