La modul general este o locatie superba si linistita, perfecta pentru relaxare si pentru explorarea naturii si a traditiilor locale. Totul se prezinta exact ca in descriere. Casa este foarte curata, la fel ca si bucataria de vara si dusul/toaleta....

The house is over 100 years old and built traditionally with reed, clay and wood. We kept the original rustic architecture. We used the same organic materials to build 2 baths and an open-air living/kitchen for guests. One of the few houses in the village of Jurilovca that still keeps alive archaic building techniques. The reed roof and the clay walls keep out the warm in the hot summer days. We have a yard of 400 sqm. Here we created a small orchard where various trees bloom: cherries, sour cherries, apricots, quinces, walnuts, grapes. Our guests can enjoy these tasty fruits throughout their stay. Guests have access to the whole household. They are the only ones living here.
I am 50 years old. For 10 years I teached philosophy in Bucharest, and since 2010 I moved to Danube Delta, were I am touristic guide. I absolutely love all about nature in the Delta: watching birds, cayaking on chanells, biking on the hills or sailing on the lakes and I also love the hystory, gastronomy and traditions of locals. I started here by discovering phantastic landscapes, ancient greek ruins and beautiful sauvage shores of Razim-Sinoe Laguna and of the Black Sea. In time, I ended by sharing all this with people interested in slow tourism, just like me.
Jurilovca village is placed on the embankment of the Golovita lake. The village’s connection with the lake is made by a 800m long canal. The parish of Jurilovca was founded by lippovans at the beginning of the XIXth century first document about it dating from 1826. Although at the beginning it was just a sshorel hamlet the village developed at the end of the XIXth century into an important fishing centre of the Delta. Lippovans are ethnically russians but in what concerns thier denomination they are Old Style Ortodox (starovers). This denomination is the result of the nikoniene reform in 1654 Nikon the Russian Ortodox Church’s Patriarch initiated a religious reform that sought the alignement of russian rite to the rest of the Ortodox world. The outcome was the division of russian society into nikoniens (the ones that accepted the reform) and Starovers ( of Old Faith, that rejected the reform). The last ones because of the persecution migrated outside russia some of them in romania (the north of Moldavia and Danube Delta). Nowadayas Jurilovca is the biggest fishermen community from Delta a center of collecting and processing of the fish as well as a turistical attraction
