Welcome to a quiet and pleasant accommodation with its own entrance from the park outside. The environment is lush and calming, yet you are only a few hundred meters from the absolute center of the city, and also within easy walking distance of the beach and sea.
On 35 square meters there is a comfortable double bed, a dining table with chairs, and a toilet with shower. There is no kitchen, but we provide a kettle, coffee maker and toaster, as well as both a fridge and freezer. There is also crockery and cutlery available.
Something we strongly value is that guests feel that the accommodation is fresh and clean.
We - Jonas & Haidi - are a couple aged 58 and 55 respectively who like to go on trips and adventures on our own as well. We live in the house next to the guest house, and when we are at home we are available all the time. When we are not at home we keep a close eye on our mobile phones and always respond promptly to your questions or concerns. Welcome to us!
Sun bathing and swimming:
The entire beach from Ystads Saltsjöbad and about 10 km east
The beach at Gjuteriet - only 7-800 meters from the accommodation
Sandhammaren - a national park on the southeastern tip of Skåne
Nature:
Stenshuvud National Park
Snogeholm walking area
For extra fine dining experiences:
JH Matbar
Tumült (Daniel Müllern's new tavern in the eastern old military part of town)
Le Petit Bistro
For super good affordable food:
Grändens Mat (incredibly nicely located in a cobblestone courtyard in the eastern part of the pedestrian zone) - poke bowls and other goodies
Sushinu - delicious sushi and woks
Thai Corner - great Thai food
Maltes Mackor - the tastiest hot sandwiches on the go
Gusto - pizzas a la real Italy
Food carts at Österports torg
For history:
Just strolling around town is incredibly nice
The monastery with the Klosterkyrkan
Lilla Östergatan with the Mariakyrkan in the background.
Ride the fire engine - a nice experience where you get to know a bit about Ystad, starts from Stortorget
Little train - free train to hop on for transport around town. Some tours also go out to the beach.
Kåseberga - a cozy fishing village with lovely places both in the harbor and further up in the village.
Ales Stenar - perhaps the biggest attraction in the area, an old ship stone setting along beautiful Hammars Backar.
Cafés:
Olof Viktors about ten miles east of Ystad is fantastic. Our recommendation in Ystad is Söderberg & Sara at Österports torg, a nice stone oven bakery!
Flea markets and antiques:
You can drive around Österlen's small roads and keep an eye out - there are plenty of places!
