Charming Spišská Sobota, a part of Poprad, is centered around the green Sobotské Square, which is surrounded by pastel houses and is dominated by a Renaissance bell tower and the centuries-old Church of St. George from 1256 with an ornate Gothic altar. The quiet surrounding streets are dotted with cozy houses, guesthouses, and taverns. AquaCity Poprad has water slides, natural heated pool,s and a spa, while the historic Spišská Sobota area also features an ice rink and a football stadium.
