Welcome to Gaarawé village, situated in one of the most ancient tropical forests in the world.
The village offers accommodation for tourists and travelers, a place of residence for residents and a refreshment stop for collaborators and people of good will.
Come to learn about permaculture on our farm together with our volunteers, explore the beautiful national parks around us and be a part of our little community that we’re building! The project is self-financed and based on the economy of self-sufficiency, following the principles of Permaculture.
We have a powerful water-tower to supply water to the whole village.
There is a large common area with shared kitchen, toilet, shower and laundry facilities. WiFi is also available. We have vegetable gardens which are already producing food for our own consumption, our seedbeds are always full with seedlings and we keep expanding our gardens to constantly improve our self-sufficiency.

Gaarawé was a dream that I have pursued for years. The name originates from a climbing tree whose flowers give off a unique scent. I consider myself a lucky man, living my dream. I am aware of the things that I have and the things I don’t. I have an amazing business partner, a friend, her name is Duong, who believes in me and the land of my dreams.
I travelled through Thailand on a scooter for 3 years visiting forests, waterfalls, villages, temples and communities. It was an extraordinary experience which enriched me. It was also a research in order to reach the goal of starting the village, hoping that soon it will become a community of people who are interested in participating.
I have been supported by friends and family who believe in social change and a different lifestyle.
Gaarawé village is fortunate to be located near the most primitive forest of the planet! We have some wonderful itineraries of uncommon places to visit: caves, waterfalls, trekking, canoeing, the big tree, fascinating temples, hot springs, the largest dam, and our beautiful river where we cool down, swim, and fish.
In January, while walking in the forest you can see the Rataflesia, the largest flower in the world, which is only found here.
We are happy to facilitate all of the wonderful tours for you.
