Santisook is the name of our guest house, providing up to 12 guests with a cosy and comfortable place to stay. The house sits within our garden and we welcome you into our home as new friends. We also serve you a substantial Thai breakfast each morning* *Excludes 15 day+ long stay bookings
I am Moon, a highly qualified Thai massage praticioner, married to Hank, my British husband. Together we live happily in the Hang Dong area of Chiang Mai, me as host and masseuse, and Hank as host and also a photographer, when he is back in UK and elsewhere. If you have any problems, please wander over to our house and we will do our best to fix.
We are a short drive to Baan Tawai wood carving centre. Also, Kad Farang is just 5km (Rimping supermarket, Wine Connection, Starbucks, MrDIY and others). The indoor food market at Hang Dong is 4km. The house sits in an acre of mixed orchard beside a simple contemporary Thai village. We have views across rice paddy fields to Doi Khun Tan national park (distant mountains) and also towards Doi Suthep. We are in a rural location with all the flora, fauna, wildlife and insects that Thailand has to offer. Not suitable for some. Chiang Mai city centre is 18km to the north. We suggest you rent a car, scooter or motorbike, but Grab makes getting around quite simple. Bring your own, or we can help you rent something to suit. For local (slow) journeys we can take you in our 3-wheeler. Grab (like Uber) is cheap and easy. Download the App before you come.
