About this property
Located 150 metres from the 1700 years old Monastery of Mor Hobil and Mor Abrohom, this hotel is made out of the local stone, portraying a unique architecture. It is decorated with many Assyrian craftworks and ornaments. Each room at Turabdin Hotel has its name written in both Latin and Assyrian on the door. A TV, wardrobe and a private bathroom are provided. The à la carte restaurant serves authentic dishes from the Assyrian cuisine, accompanied with the wine that is produced according to the Assyrian methods. Mor Gabriel, the oldest surviving Assyrian Orthodox monastery in the world, is 15 km away. Midyat Devlet Konukevi, a beautiful example of local architecture, and the silversmiths’ bazaar are only a 9-minute walk from the hotel. Mardin Airport and Batman Airport are both about 84 km from Turabdin Hotel. A shuttle service can be arranged on request at an additional fee.
