Casa Mariposa is a spacious, naturally-lit, modern vacation home in the Sierra Foothills. Surrounded by granite outcrops, seasonal ponds and a meadow, this private home is just a few minutes away from Downtown Mariposa.
Yosemite National Park is a 40-minute drive from here and Bass Lake, 30 minutes.
Set this as your base camp as you explore the Sierras: kick off those hiking boots and relax, or wine & dine with friends & family, all without leaving the sights & sounds of the mountains!
Set in a 6-acre private estate at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, Casa Mariposa is a great place to get a taste of life in the mountains.
Seat yourself in the chairs by the seasonal ponds, or out on the deck and enjoy a drink as you listen to birds, or watch the sunset. Depending on the season, you’ll see different kinds of birds, insects and flowers adorning the environment. Also, look out for the deer and wild turkeys that are regulars in the front yard and in the meadow at the back.
The floor-to-ceiling windows of the house bring the outdoors in and give you a vibrant picture of the fauna and flora of the area.

Yosemite National Park is just around 30 miles away when you take Hwy 140 (CA 140 E) to the park. The closest way in, is thru' the Arch Rock Entrance on the western side of the national park.
BASS LAKE
Bass Lake is 32 miles away.
Take Hwy 49 (CA-41 S) to Oakhurst, then, Hwy 41 to Yosemite for a bit, and then Rd 222 (Bass Lake Road) to the lake.
