I lovingly tend the 1/2 acre of gardens which you are welcome to explore. One of my greatest joys in life is to offer my piece of paradise to the world.
The beds have organic cotton or bamboo linens. There are an assortment of pillows to suit your particular needs. Each bedroom has an AppleTV, white noise machine, black out curtains, 100% cotton robes, luggage rack, reading lights, original art and wool or silk carpets.
The refrigerator is initially stocked with milk, butter, sour dough bread, jam, real maple syrup, eggs, coffee beans and condiments. The cupboard is stocked with sugar, cooking oil, flour, waffle & pancake mix, and s'mores making supplies including Hershey bars, graham crackers and marshmallows. There are 6 ways of making coffee. A large assortment of spices and teas are provided.
The house is located in a quiet family neighborhood, close to downtown, and walking distance to restaurants and shops, but you feel like you are out in the country. Horses are across the street and many people are walking their dogs around the neighborhood. Airbnb and the county of Santa Barbara have a strict NO PARTIES rule. Max 8 people can gather here.
I was born in Santa Barbara and raised on this property. I enjoy travel, eating organic food, gardening, making jewelry, painting, and walking my dog, Pygar. I also love to tell guests who are interested about the history of the property, the art in the house, and the plants in the garden.
Mission Canyon is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Santa Barbara. Take a walk around the neighborhood to see the grand homes that began being built in 1880. Some homes are hidden behind stone walls up long driveways, but many proudly display well cared for gardens and impressive architecture.
It is a 10 minute walk to the Natural History Museum and a 15 minute walk to the Santa Barbara Mission. Rocky Nook Park is also about a 12 minute walk away.
It is a 10 minute drive to the beach and 15 minutes to the top of the mountains and 10 minutes to downtown. Trader Joes, CVS, Gelson’s, Renaud’s premium bakery, sushi and Indian food are a 5 minute drive away.
The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is just a 8 minute drive.
You are close to everything but feel like you are far out in the country.
There are taxis, Uber, and Lift in Santa Barbara. There is also a bus service. Rental cars are available at the airport and elsewhere in Santa Barbara.
