We welcome you to our Oceanside Garden home at Casa De Emdeko, where you will be embraced as ohana (family) at our tastefully renovated one-bedroom ground floor suite, just steps from the ocean. We love living at the “the Casa”- and we know you will too! Constructed in 1969, Casa De Emdeko stands out as one of Kailua-Kona's first condo buildings, nestled along historical Ali'i Drive. Here- within a unique, gated u-shaped complex- lies a meticulously maintained garden of mature plumeria, hibiscus, bougainvillea, and palms. Pathways lead though these gardens to the mighty Pacific ocean. We were instantly drawn to the mid-century architecture and lava-stone walls exude old- Hawaiian charm, social cabana dining area, and tiki torches providing the perfect setting for friendly gatherings. It is important to us that our renovated unit continues to maintain updated with modern conveniences while retaining the charming retro aloha-vibe of its original 1960s construction that we fell in love with. Our fully-refreshed-for-2024, deluxe one-bedroom unit (920 square feet) features an all-new king-size bed and queen-sized sofa bed. Here, you can fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves with the evening fragrance of flowers in the gentle Hawaiian breeze. If you prefer, close the windows, enjoy the peaceful hum of the AC and get cozy! When you awake, start your perfect day in the sunshine with a cup of world-renowned Kona coffee on the lanai or venture out sleepily to the ocean. We love coffee...maybe you do too! We offer a French press, drip coffee maker, and stovetop Italian espresso maker for your use. You will enjoy our central AC, ceiling fans (or both!). *Please note this complex has frequent water shut offs, there will not be compensation.

The fine print

Need-to-know information for guests at this property

Guests will receive a rental agreement which must be signed and returned to the property manager within 48 hours of booking. If the agreement is not received, the reservation may be canceled. The guest should contact the property management company at the number on the booking confirmation if they pass the 48 hour time frame.

Guests under the age of 21 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Quiet hours are between 21:00:00 and 08:00:00. A 25% deposit and completed Guest Reservation Application are required for booking confirmation. Final payment is due 60 days before arrival. Reservations may be canceled for late payment or extenuating circumstances (e.g. double bookings, property sale, or emergency repairs).

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
