Stay on this historic ranch in the heart of Salida. To be on 300 secluded acres and a short distance from all of the enjoyment of Salida makes this a one of a kind experience. The ranch is three miles from town, with myriad possibilities for adventure, including horseback riding, boating the Arkansas River, hiking, biking, fishing, skiing at Monarch Mountain, shopping, and delicious eats! The Chavara Ranch has kept the old charm of the original homestead. Once you visit, you will come back year after year! The ranch house has been remodeled and features a luxurious master suite with a 5 piece bath. Upstairs there is a well appointed bathroom and three large guest bedrooms, all with their own vanity. The cozy living area has a hearth and fireplace. The kitchen has an island and a large adjoining dining room for family meals. The Chavara Ranch is perfect for family time, ambling around the acreage in awe of the views and stars, wandering deer, horses, and Angus cows, or adventuring out to explore Salida's many offerings - We look forward to your enjoyment!
Retired custom homebuilder. I re-built this old farmhouse into a custom home from the ground up. The only thing remaining was the four walls and the roof. after building 600 homes I built this one just for me and my taste and I think you will like what I did. I always wanted a sink in my bedroom, so each room has it's own vanity and sink. You also have access to over 280 acres to hike and explore.
Minutes from downtown Salida with a myriad of white water rafting opportunities, shopping and dining, and only 25 minutes from Monarch Mountain for skiing.
