Welcome to the Evergreen Cascades Cabin! This secluded retreat offers direct hiking trail access, a private waterfall, and stunning views of Sutter Creek, which you can hear flowing from the deck. Unwind in the covered hot tub, gather around the fire pit, or simply enjoy the tranquil beauty of the woods. Combining rustic charm with modern comforts, this charming creekside cabin is your perfect getaway for both adventure and relaxation.
Hi, I’m Sheila! My husband Victor and I are born and raised Californians who were drawn to the evergreen beauty of Washington state. We love spending time outdoors! Whether it's hiking, soaking in quiet forest views, or just finding little moments of peace in nature, we're happiest when we're outside. Hosting has become a true passion of ours because we get to share that peaceful experience with others. I’ve put a lot of love into creating a space that feels cozy, thoughtful, and connected to the outdoors. My hope is that every guest feels truly at home during their stay.
Guests love how quiet and nature-filled the area is, with a private forest trail that leads from the cabin to a peaceful 40-foot waterfall on national forest land. A second waterfall is just five minutes away via Barr Creek Trail. The neighborhood is surrounded by year-round outdoor highlights: Rockport State Park is a 5-minute drive and has beautiful trails through old-growth forest. From December to February, guests can join free bald eagle viewing walks on weekends at the nearby Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center in Howard Miller Steelhead Park. The west entrance of North Cascades National Park is just 11 minutes away and offers dramatic lake and mountain views. Note that parts of Highway 20 (SR-20) close seasonally due to snow—typically from late November to April—which limits driving access beyond Ross Dam Trailhead. However, you can still reach the park entrance from the cabin year-round and snowshoe in if you'd like. In warmer months, the full park opens up for hiking. Guests can explore Thunder Creek Trail, Sauk Mountain, Pyramid Lake, Hidden Lake Peak, and Maple Pass Loop—all within 30–60 minutes. For a more relaxed outing, the Diablo Lake Vista Point offers a stunning overlook of the emerald-green water. The nearest town, Marblemount (10 minutes away), has a handful of small restaurants, including Mondo, Mountain Song, Up River Grill & Taproom, and the rustic Marblemount Diner. It’s also home to the National Park’s Wilderness Information Center, a good stop for maps and local updates. For groceries or gas, Concrete is a 20-minute drive with a small market and hardware store. The cabin’s location in the North Cascades makes it easy to enjoy quiet forest time or venture out for some of the best views and trails in Washington State —all with very little driving.
