Check-ins are Saturday to Saturday “Kato’s Kove” offers any beach lover the perfect getaway. Come enjoy beautiful sunset views across the marshes on the back porch or sip your morning coffee on the front deck while you take in the ocean view. This lovely 3 bedroom 2 and ½ bath is just a short distance to the beach. Outside there is an outdoor shower for convenient rinsing off from a day at the beach, a picnic table for eating with the kids, and a storage room to keep your beach gear. The first floor is the ideal area for the family to spend time together playing games or hanging out in the spacious living room, eating together in the cozy dining room or on the breakfast bar, whipping up something special in the stocked kitchen, relaxing on the picturesque screened back porch or simply experiencing the coastal life on the front deck with high-top table and chairs or lounging in the chaise chairs. There is also a half bath and laundry room on this floor for your convenience. Just upstairs is where the three bedrooms are located. The large master bedroom is a great resting place and includes a queen bed, television,dresser, sitting area, has a private bathroom with a shower, and also offers a view of the ocean. The second bedroom is a nice soft yellow color perfect for a peaceful night slumber and contains a queen bed. The third bedroom features two twin beds and also provides a nice view of the ocean. There is another full bathroom on the upstairs floor. “Kato’s Kove” provides all you need inside and out for a family vacation or a friends get-together.

Topsail Island is called "Mayberry by the Sea". If you are lucky enough or old enough to remember the Andy Griffith show you will understand what that means. Once connected to the mainland by a swing bridge the new high-rise bridge offers easier access as well as gorgeous views. Surf City is the center, the heartbeat of the Island. Many properties are within walking or biking distance to the center of town made easier to get to by sidewalks. There is even a walking/ biking path on the bridge. You can find a lot to do or do literally nothing at all. This truly is a beach town filled with places to buy bags of candy (including saltwater taffy), freshly made donuts, ice cream cones that will drip down your hand and so much more. The kids will love playing miniature golf or "putt putt" as it's called around here. You and your family can visit the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital where you can see the hard work, they put in rescuing injured Sea Turtles to one day be released back into the Ocean. Spend an hour or so going through the "Missiles and More" museum learning about Topsail's rich history: Operation Bumblebee, the neighboring Marine Corp base(s) and Pirates. It is said that Blackbeard launched some of his attacks from the shallow inlets of Topsail Island, and legend has it that Topsail Island was named by merchant captains who learned to spot the highest masts (also known as: Tops’ls), of the pirate ships in order to outrun the looters. But, of course, what you are really here for are the beautiful, unspoiled wide sandy beaches. Whether you are in Surf City to catch rays or catch some fish both can easily be accomplished. The warm ocean water will welcome you to take a dip. Our beaches are known for finding treasure, maybe not pirate's gold but you can certainly find some shells, shark's teeth and if you are luck a beautiful piece of frosted sea glass.
