The Lucy Fan Ohana is a spacious 2 story 1 bedroom apartment. This family style apartment has a ground level first floor with a living room, full kitchen and dining area, and pleasant shower bathroom. The large master bedroom upstairs has a comfortable queen bed, and an outside lanai deck. The bedroom is served by a spiral staircase inside, and an easy access staircase to the lanai outside. These spaces are well ventilated with jalousie windows and ceiling fans. The Ohana has a private parking area for one vehicle, and a well landscaped yard and front entry on the terrace. It is private and quiet, and separate from the home for the exclusive use of the guests. A washer dryer is located outside under roof. There are coolers, beach chairs & towels, and other amenities which are free to the guests. An extensive guidebook library and videos are available. The apartment offers a couple plenty of space, and we can accommodate a 3rd family member on the futon which is on the first floor. The Lucy Fan Ohana is located in a local neighborhood in the heart of Haiku on the North Shore of Maui. Our place is enclosed by fences and landscaping for privacy from the neighbors. Our off street parking site in front will always be available to the guests. About a mile up the hill, the center of Haiku Town offers many choices. Haiku Grocery is a full service grocery store open all day, with an excellent deli bar and fresh local vegetables and fruits. Local beef and fish are also featured, as well as an extensive wine and liquor selection. Several restaurants are worthwhile, including Nuka, Colleen's, Veg Out, and several good food trucks. Colleen's has a friendly bar scene, too. True Value Hardware is located in the old cannery on the left, and Fusion Fit is on the right to keep you in shape. The Post Office is here, as well as other business enterprises. Turn left in the center of town to find Toma's Garage for gas. Go straight up the hill, now called Kokomo Road, to reach Makawao and other upcountry locations.
