We are on a private drive off the Smith Lake Park Boat Ramp road. There are only 6 houses on the road so it is quiet with limited traffic. The neighbors are really nice. The boat ramp is in walking distance. So putting the boat in the water doesn't have to be orchestrated. We are one of the closest points of Smith lake to I-65 for easy access from Birmingham and Huntsville. We are also basically at the entrance to Smith Lake Park (less than 2 minutes away). As mentioned before, the marina across the lake sells gas on the lake and is easily accessible.
