MONTREAT ROUND HOUSE - This charming Round House, nestled in the treasured, historic community of Montreat, is just 2 miles from Black Mountain (voted "The Prettiest Small Town In America)" and 17 miles from Asheville! The unique property, fully renovated in 2022, intersects rustic character with modern flair. Experience MOUNTAIN VIEWS on a wooded lot, from a private wrap-around deck. Its been my passion and quest to find a cozy, unique property, close to downtown Black Mountain, for many years. I now want to share the experiences that this Round House and location have to offer. I like anything with character, especially in mountain settings. Some other interests include: Travel, Real Estate, Sports, Poker, Tarantino movies, coffee and Bourbon. I'm here to assist in any way, should you have questions or issues.
Montreat is a historic town, founded in 1897, at the edge of Black Mountain. With 4,000 acres, most of which are protected, the eclectic cabins and cottages are appointed in lovely natural settings. Lake Susan is just 1.4 miles from the Round House, along with Montreat College. 21 hiking trails are featured in Montreat, with glorious hiking, walking, and biking paths. There's a playground and park as well. Downtown Black Mountain is just over 2 miles away, so it's the best of both worlds. All paved roads, easy access year-round.
