Welcome to Evergreen Cascades Dome—your cozy, pet-friendly glamping retreat just minutes from North Cascades National Park. Tucked into the forest just off Highway 20, the dome offers comfort, seclusion, and easy access to some of the region’s best trails, including the nearby Barr Creek Trail and its scenic waterfall just a short walk away.
The dome itself is a 400-square-foot open space with a queen-sized bed, outdoor kitchen, private bathroom, and fast WiFi. Guests love soaking in the private hot tub, cooking meals under the trees, and stargazing by the fire pit. There’s also a hot outdoor shower, a propane grill, and a fridge—everything you need to feel at home in the woods. With trails right from the property and access to the Skagit River just across the road, it’s an ideal spot for couples, hikers, and pet lovers looking to relax and explore.
North Cascades National Park is officially open as of April 24, 2025, and we’re just an 11-minute drive from the west entrance. Whether you’re looking for lakes, waterfalls, or mountain views, this is a perfect home base for spring and summer adventures. If you'd like tips on day hikes or scenic drives, just let us know—we’re happy to help you plan.
A few things to note: The dome sits on the edge of our property near a neighbor, so you may spot friendly neighborhood dogs passing by. We’re also in a rural area, so occasional weather-related WiFi outages are possible. And since we’re nestled deep in the woods, please keep the door closed to help keep curious mice out.
Hi, I’m Sheila! My husband Victor and I are born and raised Californians who were drawn to the evergreen beauty of Washington state. We love spending time outdoors! Whether it's hiking, soaking in quiet forest views, or just finding little moments of peace in nature, we're happiest when we're outside. Hosting has become a true passion of ours because we get to share that peaceful experience with others. I’ve put a lot of love into creating a space that feels cozy, thoughtful, and connected to the outdoors. My hope is that every guest feels truly at home during their stay.
Guests love how quiet and nature-filled the area is. A short five-minute walk from the dome brings you to Barr Creek Trail, where a beautiful waterfall appears just a quarter mile up the trail. The neighborhood is surrounded by year-round outdoor highlights: Rockport State Park is a 5-minute drive and offers peaceful trails through old-growth forest. From December to February, guests can join free bald eagle viewing walks on weekends at the nearby Skagit River Bald Eagle Interpretive Center in Howard Miller Steelhead Park.
The west entrance of North Cascades National Park is just 11 minutes away and offers dramatic lake and mountain views. Note that parts of Highway 20 (SR-20) close seasonally due to snow—typically from late November to April—which limits driving access beyond Ross Dam Trailhead. You can still reach the park entrance from the dome year-round and snowshoe in if you'd like.
In warmer months, the full park opens up for hiking. Guests can explore Thunder Creek Trail, Sauk Mountain, Pyramid Lake, Hidden Lake Peak, and Maple Pass Loop—all within 30–60 minutes. For a more relaxed outing, Diablo Lake Vista Point offers a stunning overlook of the emerald-green water.
The nearest town, Marblemount (10 minutes away), has a handful of small restaurants, including Mondo, Mountain Song, Up River Grill & Taproom, and the rustic Marblemount Diner. It’s also home to the National Park’s Wilderness Information Center, a great stop for maps and trail updates. For groceries or gas, Concrete is a 20-minute drive with a small market and hardware store.
The dome’s location makes it easy to enjoy the stillness of the forest or set out on scenic drives and hikes—all within close reach.
