🌄 Hand-built with calloused hands and big hearts, our cabin leans into old-time mountain charm. Think wraparound porch rockers under soft solar glow, quilt-cozy beds, and a creekside fire-pit spot made for tall tales and toasted marshmallows. 🛏️ Inside, you’ll find simple comforts that matter: premium mattresses, a 55" smart TV with fast Wi-Fi, Alexa™ for tunes, and a Keurig Duo with starter coffee pods so morning comes easy. We keep puzzles on the shelf, extra throw blankets at the ready, and a folksy welcome note with local tips so you can settle in like kin. Little touches you’ll notice: Easy parking for 3–4 vehicles 🚗🚗🚗🚗 Mason-jar vibes and wood-grain textures that feel lived-in, not showroom-stiff 🪵 Chairs on the wraparound porch for sunrise sips and stargazing sits 🪑🪑 Bedside outlets with USBs and high speed WiFi 🔌 Family-friendly games and puzzles for rainy-day laughs 🧩 Visitor info with our favorite nearby trails, waterfalls, and small-town eats 🗺️ Extras you won’t want to miss: a full kitchen with the basics, an outdoors cast iron griddle, washer/dryer, heat & A/C, and starter coffee. Follow the little path for creek toe-dippin’, then come back for true dark-sky stargazin’. Easy self check-in and fast replies from your cabin keepers. Need beds shuffled? We’ve got queen air mattresses. Just holler and we’ll set it proper. Close-by favorites: waterfalls and river pull-offs, orchards in season, a scenic train ride, and a friendly Blue Ridge–style main street. Bring a little cash. Some mom-and-pop joints still run on handshakes. Around the place, a guardian wolfdog named Asher keeps a watchful (and polite) eye while the porch light stays on and the welcome stays wide. Pull up, kick your boots off, and make yourself at home. We’ll leave the porch light on and the welcome wide.
Hey y’all! 👋, We're Amanda & Nick, the cabin keepers. We’re porch-rocker folks, creek-wanderers, and biscuit and shine hunters. At our place, the coffee’s on, games are ready, and the map’s marked with our favorite eats and stops 🍽️📍. Y’all come on! Arrive as guests and head home like neighbors 🤠🤝.
Out here, the mountains do the talking. Our neck of the woods sits along a quiet creek bend where Asher, the cabin’s friendly guardian, keeps a watch while the fireflies clock in at dusk. Folks love the slow pace: porch-sittin’ at sunrise, stargazing at night, and day trips that don’t feel like work. What guests like most: 1. Trails & forest time: 🏞️ Step off the porch and you’re in the trees. Trails and waterfalls (like the local falls folks whisper about) are close enough for a half-day wander with a biscuit stop on the way back. 2. Small-town charm: 👋 Gas-station conversations, mom-and-pop diners, and friendly “how y’all doin’?” greetings. Bring cash; some spots still run on handshakes and good sense. 3. Easy day trips: 🛤️ Blue-Ridge-style main streets, orchards in season, and scenic trains that meander through fall color. Rivers nearby are famous for whitewater, tubing, and trout. 4. Front-porch evenings: 🌙 After rambling, the wraparound porch calls: rockers, a soft glow from the solar lights, and the creek telling stories while the owls take roll. Keeper’s tips: 1. Hit the sites early, then reward yourself with pie or a plate lunch. 🥧 Locals will point you right. 2. Cell service can be spotty on the back roads. 📵 Download your maps, then enjoy being delightfully “elsewhere.” 3. Come for the views, stay for the hush. 🤫 Around here, strangers turn into neighbors by sundown and we’ll leave the porch light on so you can find your way back to The Story.
