River Gem was our mothers "Happy Place" and a place all her children and grandchildren could enjoy together. My siblings and I decided to keep that tradition. We all love Colonial Beach and our time spent together. Several years after our mom bought River Gem, I bought a house in Colonial Beach and now live 2 blocks from River Gem on a full time basis.
My name is Carolyn, I live 2 blocks away for the River Gem. Upon arrival I may stop by to introduce myself and can be available to assist you during your stay in our family home.

Parking: Driveway parking available (no on-street parking).
Policies: No smoking, vaping, drugs, or pets allowed.

Our home is located on The Point in Colonial Beach. It is 2 blocks from one of the public beaches.
Golf carts
Town allows registered golf carts on roads, if you rent a golf cart, you don’t need to pay to park at beaches or downtown. There are a couple rental places in town.
Area Attractions
Parks: George Washington’s Birth Place national park, Westmoreland State Park, Stratford Hall, Caledon State park.
Wineries: Ingleside, Monroe Bay Winery, Backporch Winery, Estates at Whitehall.
Public boat ramp is about a mile from the house. There are several marinas on Monroe Bay to dock your boat and leave your trailer at during your stay.
There are several public beach’s one is 2 blocks away the other is about a mile at end of the point and another one in downtown area.
Town has a pier you can fish off. There are paddleboard rental on boardwalk, near HighTides
