Carmen and Mark Sample are the owners of the Riversong Inn Retreat of Estes Park, Colorado through their company, Happy Vacation Homes. They have enjoyed delighting guests through their portfolio of Happy Luxury Homes across the United States and Mexico. The Riversong Inn Retreat is a special place to them as they are local to Colorado and appreciate the beauty of the mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park. Carmen and Mark have four children and run multiple businesses across the front range of Colorado. The couple also owns a property management company with a team of skilled carpenters, HVAC technicians and maintenance employees that are able to step in at all times to ensure upkeep of our historic landmark properties. They have a deep history in property management and love everything about the 26 acres property and being next to the Big Thompson River at the Riversong Inn Retreat.

The Riversong Inn Retreat, nestled in the wilderness of Estes Park, Colorado, offers a serene and intimate oasis on 26 acres of private, wooded land adjacent to National Forest. The Retreat features individually themed suites with full bathrooms, each providing a unique ambiance and comfort. Our property offers all guests access to our private Seven Benches Trail up the Gianttrack Mountain, use of our outdoor saunas and hot tubs as well as 1500 feet of Riverfront access and private trails through the meadow and over the streams. There are cozy guest common areas for living and dining if desired in the Main Lodge, though each suite provides more than enough amenities to meet the needs of our guests.
Our room accommodations are unique and vary in offering mountain/forest views, private decks, king beds, cozy wood fireplaces, soaking tubs, charming sitting areas/breakfast nooks, flat screen TVs, wood floors, and coffee/tea stations, with all essential amenities provided. Each room is themed with individual charm and offers privacy that truly enhances the retreat atmosphere.
Guests can enjoy the picturesque surroundings by taking advantage of the Retreat's private hiking trails, which wind through the forested property alongside private access to the Big Thompson River. The grounds are thoughtfully designed with many sitting areas, hammocks, trails, bridges and viewpoint decks, encouraging relaxation amidst nature. We have daily sightings of wildlife, whether it be wandering deer eating wildflowers or a herd of elk drinking from the river.
Originally built in 1922, The Riversong Inn Retreat is also a bed and breakfast, serving a complimentary gourmet breakfast each morning in our shared dining room or in the privacy of your room. After dining, you will be full and ready for whatever adventure you choose to do that day - whether it be reading a book on your porch, hiking our private trails, relaxing by the river, or visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park.
