Born in Hawaii, I moved away early in life and spent my childhood relocating to various states and countries. At 17, my family returned to Honolulu, my mother's birthplace. She was raised by a Hawaiian family who spoke the Hawaiian language.
I hold a master's degree in social work from the University of Hawaii, but ventured into the retail business with my mother after graduating. We successfully ran 4 retail stores on Oahu for over three decades. Now, I'm embarking on an exciting new business journey.
My husband and I are parents to two boys: a 20yo in college at UNLV, the other a surfer and Junior in high school. My husband, Paul Drewes, is a news and weather anchor at Island News, a CBS affiliate.
I'm thrilled to start hosting!
Aloha!

Waikiki is located on the island of Oahu, which is the most populated island in the state of Hawaii. Waikiki is very walkable, so it’s definitely possible to get around without a car. It’s only a few blocks deep and roughly 2 miles long,
It’s about a 15 to 20-minute drive from the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (Honolulu Airport), making it easy for incoming visitors to reach. From Waikiki, you can also reach the North Shore in 45 minutes, Pearl Harbor in 20 minutes, and Kailua in 25 minutes.
As the most visited part of any island, Waikiki has no shortage of things to do and see.
If you’re in Waikiki on a Friday, then you won’t want to miss the weekly fireworks show. While fireworks are lit by the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, anyone can come and enjoy the show for free.
Just grab a spot on the beach, and you’ll have front-row seats to the amazing fireworks display. Things kick off at 7:45 PM sharp, so make sure you’re there on time. This has been a tradition for almost 35 years, and it is one of the best free things to do in Waikiki!
This property, The Royal Aloha, is located at the entrance of Waikiki within minutes walking distance to beaches, shopping, restaurants and the Hawaii Convention Center. Beautiful view of the mountains, the Ala Wai Canal and the ocean.
There is a 7-11 next door.
The Honolulu Zoo is 1.4 miles away (29 minutes' walk).
Ala Moana Mall is 0.9 away (20 minutes walking)
Both The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and The International Marketplace are 0.7 miles away (16 minutes' walk)
Parking is SUPER convenient and is an assigned spot at no extra charge. It's located on the property and is seconds away from the lobby entrance. The garage is gated and secure. There are no stairs to climb from the parking spot and is wheelchair accessible.
