We're here to make your stay with family and friends in the heart of the New Hampshire White Mountains one that you will remember for many years. From the moment you walk up to the property, you will feel yourself relax. There are water views from every room and multiple places to sit or play outside; a covered outside dining porch with gas grill overlooks the lake. The house has art collected by the owner from around the world, and several pieces of furniture are handmade from old beams and wood from the local woods. And when you're ready to play, there’s something for every season -- swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking, downhill and cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
This property is owned by Jamie, who has made this home into a reflection of her extensive travels across the world for both business and pleasure during the last 30 years. She is working with her son, Brendan, who provides local management, bringing his training at the prestigious Les Roches University in Switzerland and work in hotels in New York City, Vietnam and Dubai. Together, we are here to make sure you have the style, service and comfort you deserve.
This lake-front home is part of the Locke Lake Colony, which provides numerous beaches beyond this home's private beach, tennis courts and a 6-hole golf course -- all free. The house is on a quiet road in the no-wake zone of the lake, so no fast boats and a tree-lined road for walks around the lake. The lake is small and quaint with hidden coves that offer views to nesting loons, ducks and geese, while eagles fly overhead. Plenty of parks for the kids surround the lake, you can swim or paddle boat to them for a lunch or walk around the lake and find yourself at a berry pick-it-yourself farm. Lots to love about this small hidden gem.
