The 1827 House is on the historical register and played a prominent role in the village as the general store and Post Office. Now renovated with modern amenities while maintaining the historic charm of yesteryear. There are two units that can be separated or joined together for the whole house experience. There are separate listings for each. Book both units for the whole house. Please inquire if only one unit is available and you desire the whole house. If we can make it available we will do our best. If the whole house is the only listing available please contact us if you would like just one unit. Again we will do our best to support you. The units have separate entrances but they are not soundproof. Please be courteous to other renters and there are quiet hours after 10 PM (not applicable for whole house renters). The Downstairs unit has a large open great room with an adjoining kitchen, laundry, mudroom, and two bedrooms. The Upstairs unit has its own kitchen, living room, laundry, Queen victorian room, a large 3rd floor loft, and an outside deck. A very unique and well equipped stay in a great location!

Nicky and I started our journey in Keene NH and we traveled the country while in the Navy for 21 years settling in CT near the Submarine Capital of the World. We enjoy getting back to the mountains and are thrilled to be owners of "The 1827 House" in West Dover VT.
