After more than 25 years living in the Joshua Tree area, I’ve come to appreciate its starry skies, wide-open landscapes, and unique community. Hosting allows me to connect travelers with this special place while making sure they feel at home, whether they’re here to explore the park, stargaze, or simply unwind. Set on five acres with sweeping desert views, Joshua Tree Chalet is a cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath retreat perfect for a couple’s getaway. With direct sightlines to the dramatic Indian Cove area of Joshua Tree National Park, it offers both seclusion and easy access to park entrances and nearby amenities. Please note, there is another home located on the same five-acre property, though each has its own private space.
The open living and dining area features a striking floor-to-ceiling window that frames the desert landscape, creating a space that feels both warm and expansive. A fully equipped kitchen makes home cooking simple, while the living area includes a large TV with Roku and DVD player, a vinyl collection, and comfortable seating. The bathroom includes a deep bathtub/shower combo ideal for long soaks. Outdoors, a covered patio with sectional seating, propane BBQ, and hot tub provide plenty of space to unwind, while a wood-burning firepit is perfect for evenings under the stars.

While the chalet feels wonderfully secluded, it’s only about 10 minutes from downtown Twentynine Palms, where you’ll find a collection of local restaurants, shops, and the 29 Palms Art Gallery. History lovers can explore the Old Schoolhouse Museum, while those seeking local flavor can stop by Campbell Hill Bakery or grab a bite at one of the town’s family-owned eateries. The North Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is also just a short drive away, making the neighborhood a convenient gateway for hiking, photography, and exploring the park’s iconic landscapes.
