Soaring Hawk is located about 3 miles from the quaint German town of Helen Georgia close to the top of Yonah Mountain in the heart of the Georgia Wine Country. Helen has great bars and restaurants etc. The area has some of the best Hiking in the North Georgia Mountains, it's only a 10-minuet hike to the trailhead from right outside the cabin. If you like wine, there are some wonderful prize winning Wineries that offer Tours on a daily basis, in the area.
You will need a car when visiting Soaring Hawk, the cabin has parking for about 5 cars
