I am Pang Chau, a proud Hmong woman from the highlands of Sapa, and my husband is Gio Ly. Together, we are the couple behind Bees Homestay Sapa & Trekking – a place where Hmong culture, tradition, and heartfelt hospitality come alive.
With deep love for my roots and our community, I turned our family home into a welcoming space for travelers from around the world who want to experience authentic Hmong life. From the handwoven embroidery made by women in our village to the home-cooked meals we prepare over a wood-fired stove, every corner of Bees Homestay Sapa & Trekking reflects the values of our people – strong, joyful, and deeply connected to nature.
To us, Bees Homestay Sapa & Trekking is more than just a homestay – it’s a living story. It’s where guests can feel at home while learning about our culture, and where I, as a Hmong woman, can proudly preserve and share our heritage through community-based tourism. We welcome each guest not just as a visitor, but as a friend who becomes part of our extended family.

Hello from Sapa! We are Pang and Gio – your local Hmong hosts and trekking guides.
Together, we run Bees Homestay Sapa, a small and peaceful homestay nestled deep in the Muong Hoa Valley, about 12 kilometers southeast of Sapa town.
We are both born and raised in the mountains of Sapa. As local guides, we have spent many years walking through these hills, leading international travelers on trekking trips and helping them discover the beauty of our homeland. That's why we decided to open our homestay – not just as a place to sleep, but as a place to experience real Hmong life.
Our homestay is surrounded by rice terraces, wooden stilt houses, and quiet mountain trails. Unlike the more touristic villages like Ta Van or Lao Chai, our village is still untouched and authentic. People here still grow rice, weave hemp, and dye with natural indigo. On rainy days, you can even see the Seo Choong Ho waterfall from our doorstep – it looks like clouds falling down the mountain.
At Bees Homestay, you will stay in a traditional wooden house, enjoy homecooked meals with us by the fire, and join our family in daily life. You are welcome to join one of our trekking tours, mountain hikes, motorbike adventures, or even cooking classes with our local neighbors.
You can choose to stay for one day, two days, or even three days – we will guide you ourselves, or with our friends and family who also work as local guides.
We speak English and love sharing our culture. More than just a visit, we hope your time at Bees Homestay will feel like a warm, simple, and meaningful journey – deep in the heart of Hmong culture.
We can't wait to welcome you to our home!
With love,
Pang & Gio

Surrounding our homestay are the extended family members of my husband – his brothers, sisters, uncles, and aunts – who all live in traditional wooden houses scattered across the hillsides. They are hardworking farmers, spending their days planting and harvesting on the terraced rice fields and mountain slopes, just as their ancestors have done for generations.
Even as time passes, they continue to live the Hmong way — cooking over wood-fired stoves, hand-stitching vibrant embroidery, and keeping life simple and connected to nature. Their presence brings a warm, living spirit to our homestay. When guests stay with us at Bees Homestay, they’re not just staying in a room — they’re living within a real, vibrant Hmong community.
