Our homestay is located just on the outside of Kon Tum city, in a Bahnar ethnic village. We are a small friendly homestay (Xô Xôn means happy in the local language) with 2 rooms available for guests in our Bahnar ethnic inspired house. This house was created to honor the local culture's beautiful architecture while offering all the comfort needed (private bathroom in each room, hot water, A.C..).
We also have a café next to the homestay where the locals and foreigners like to hang out while enjoying some drinks such as local coffees or even cocktails! We wish to create a home away from home where everyone feels relaxed and happy in a friendly atmosphere.
Hi everyone! I'm Nal, from the Bahnar ethnic group.
I love travelling, I have travelled all around Vietnam by motorbike, bus, boat, plane… but I always come back to my favorite place in the entire country: Kon Tum, it's my hometown! The entire province of Kon Tum is truly an off the beaten track destination!
In 2020, I decided to realize my dream: giving people the opportunity to get to know more about the Vietnamese ethnic groups in Central Vietnam. Thus, I started by building a café in my village and then my homestay :)
We are located in a Bahnar ethnic village, right on the outside of Kon Tum. By walking around, you will be able to hear people speaking the local language (also named Bahnar), and live like the older days (people cooking with fire outside, cows and chickens crossing the streets, kids running around... it is a real glimpse into how Bahnar people live!)
In a walking distance from the homestay, you will find little local convenience shops, a catholic church, an outside market, two traditional Bahnar Rong communal houses as well as a primary school and a kindergarten.
