102Siyayi is a quiet, comfortable cottage set amidst beautiful, indigenous trees where you can enjoy a sundowner drink on your private deck and spot a variety of birds including Trumpeter Hornbills, Red-crested Louries and Palm Nut Vultures. You are only a couple of minutes drive (or a brisk 15min walk!) from the rolling waves of the Indian Ocean where you can enjoy all-year round swimming at Mtunzini beach.
We are retired teachers who moved to the coast to enjoy time on the beach, fishing and walks at the lagoon. We do a fair bit of travelling and want to offer our guests comfortable, private accommodation at a good price!
The coastal village of Mtunzini is on the Indian Ocean and is surrounded by a natural, indigenous forest. The beach and lagoon is a Parksboard protected site and offers marvellous birding and surfing. The village is small and quiet with a few good restaurants and coffee shops and is situated within easy access, by road, to both Game Reserves and the busy, shopping malls of Durban.
