Supertubes Villa is the beloved family home of the Scheepers family who have lived in Jeffreys Bay since 2001. Our home is opened up to visitors every holiday season as we are situated in the nicest part of Jeffreys Bay and right at the loveliest beach with exciting rock pools, gullies and one of the best surf breaks in the world.
Our home was designed by a local architect in the 1970's who designed several other Spanish-styled homes and restaurants in the area. It has some very interesting architectural features. We have decorated our home with an eclectic mix of family heirlooms and antique shop finds. The family are also creatives who enjoy the art of local South African artists both well-known and obscure, such as the painting "Michael Jackson" by a Jeffreys Bay street child, Giovanni de Goede. Pauline and Kimi also enjoy painting themselves and some of their artworks hang in the home. The home reflects their love of the ocean as well as African wildlife. Many of their decor items were collected during the period the family lived in Namibia and Pauline and her late husband, Lue, worked for the Namibian Department of Nature Conservation. The greatest compliment to Pauline and her family can receive is to hear that you found their home welcoming and homey and you enjoyed your stay.
Pauline was born in East London and has lived in Ladismith, Pietermaritzburg, Durban, Cape Town, Gobabeb in the Namib Desert, Okaukuejo in Etosha National Park and Katima Mulilo in the Caprivi Strip. She has had an interesting career in teaching and in the years she worked for Nature Conservation. Pauline loves travelling and experiencing different cultures. She loves relating to people from other countries and sharing her love for the wonders of nature with them. From her home in Jeffreys Bay her guests will be able to explore true wilderness areas, such as the Baviaanskloof, have close encounters with wildlife and enjoy whale-watching and large pods of dolphins surfing the waves at sunset.
